With 10 years of experience in the field of Social Work, I have had the privilege of working in a diverse range of settings, including nursing homes, homeless shelters, mental health facilities, IOP/PHP programs, and private practice.
My Approach to Therapy
Creating a space where you can find what works best for you in your journey. By tailoring my approach to each person's unique situation, I honor their individuality and foster a deeper sense of self-understanding and agency. I prioritize creating a supportive environment for growth by sometimes using humor in sessions. Taking a non-judgmental, collaborative approach fosters trust, helping you to feel comfortable and empowered to engage in the process.
Using a blend of solution-focused therapy, CBT, and DBT can be really effective in addressing a range of client needs. Solution-focused therapy is great for goal setting and quick changes, while CBT and DBT provide strong tools for managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy relaxing and hanging out with my dogs who bring me a sense of calmness and joy. I also love using my Cricut Maker to create personalized crafts, shopping and watching movies. Self-care is important to me, so I prioritize spending quality time with my family and friends.
